That’s a Wrap!

Well 72 today I won’t bother rehashing what a crazy year it’s been if you follow this blog then you already know, not to mention the craziness every reader has gone through and continues to go through as I write this.

I just finished a 4 mile walk on Lynx Hollow giving me an even 100 for the month. This was only the second month with at least 100 miles since turning 71. Looking forward to seeing what 72 brings.

Smitty wanted to get together this morning for a run/walk but I’ve got a video appointment with my oncologist today so I couldn’t do it. Hopefully we’ll get a chance to safely get together again soon.

Updated race stats - 66 races since turning 70. 30 races since turning 71 and 11 of them have been virtual events. I never thought I would ever do a virtual event but I’m sure grateful for them. Hopefully going to do a social distanced in person Trail race soon.

My last event as a 71 year old was the World’s Okayest Runners Club 5K. It is the first virtual event I did off of Lynx Hollow Road. I drove to Alton Baker Park and did the 5K course there. I haven’t received my shirt and medal in the mail yet but it’s coming.

I’ve also been doing a virtual event following the Missouri River across Missouri. I should finish up in the next couple of weeks and then I’ll start a huge challenge. The Amerithon across America. I predict it’ll take me between two and three years.

It’s somewhat of a tradition for me to go out for Mexican food on my birthday and this year was no different. Had a good meal and some good Bud Light!

What’s next? Time will tell.
