It’s Fall - Time to Hit the Road
It’s Monday night September 23rd and I’m relaxing after a taxing drive here today. I woke up at 1:30 this morning and ever since every time I’ve gone to the bathroom you’d think I was prepping for a colonoscopy. (Google it 😳💩). The good news is that there were no issues and I was always able to make it to a restroom although it was questionable a couple of times. The better news is that it was a beautiful drive and one I hadn’t taken before. Part of the drive was on the Santa Fe Trail and I crossed the Pacific Crest Trail at one point. Looking forward to the rest of the trip out.

After spending time there I drove to Idaho Falls for the night. I just grabbed a burger at Carl’s Jr. and then drove to the Snake River Greenbelt to walk a couple of miles and see the falls. It’s a beautiful river walk and would be a nice place to run/race. The art work/sculptures was really well done.

Day two was intentionally a short drive because I wanted to be able to drive through Yellowstone tomorrow on the way to Sheridan, Wyoming. Didn’t have any lingering problems from yesterday’s stomach issues other than not having an appetite and feeling more tired than I should. It was a good drive and I took a route that allowed me to stamp my National Parks Passport and do some hiking at Craters of the Moon National Monument. Might be the biggest area of lava flow I’ve ever seen.
